The Portrait Experience
My name is Nicki and I am a portrait artist who captures memories of love and life for couples and families.
Your portrait experience starts long before the camera shutter ever snaps. From the first consultation to the feelings you get when walking by your portrait hanging prominently in your home, I strive to ensure your complete satisfaction.
Planning Your Session
A simple call to Nicki Evans Photography (409-267-1032) and I will begin to create a session that best fits your personality and meets all of your expectations for your portraits. I will discuss the location(s) in which you would like to have your portraits made and help you find the location that best compliments your portrait, as well as making it a beautiful piece of art to display in your home. I will also share a few little secrets to enhance the portrait experience beyond your expectation. I'll help you make proper clothing choices for your portraits. Clothing changes can enhance some sessions, such as for high school seniors who want to show off their unique style as well as the dress for their extra curricular activities or hobbies. Finally, we'll discuss the ideal time of day for the optimal portrait lighting.
At this time we will select a date that fits your schedule and you may pay session retainer fee with a check or any major credit card.
The Day of Your Session
Most portraits sessions last 1 to 2 hours. The length of the session is determined by number of locations, amount of clothing changes and the variety of posing styles that best fit your portraits. Some sessions include both indoor-studio and outdoor-location portraits or others may be all in one location such as a local park or at your family's ranch. Portraits will be taken in a variety of styles with multiple poses.
Placing Your Order
A few days after your portrait session, I'll schedule an ordering session. At this session, approximately 20-30 of your images will be displayed on a slideshow presentation. We will discuss what portraits would look best in your home based on where you plan to display them, what types of gift portraits you'd like to purchase for family members and if you'd like any custom art pieces such as albums or custom cards. The length of this session may vary, depending on how long you'd like to view your images. Images will not be available for online viewing.
After portraits are purchased, images will be visually enhanced and sent to a professional portrait lab to be printed on top quality Kodak professional papers. The portraits will be lacquered coated for protection and archival purposes and mounted on durable art board for stability.
